The suggested trek starts from Spello, well-known for its splendid mediaeval historic town centre and for the famous Infiorata del Corpus Domini [Corpus Christi Flower Festival]
The little town stands in the Umbra Valley on the southern slopes of the Subasio Massif.
At first, follow the very pleasant Sentiero dell’Acquedotto [Aqueduct Path] that is completely surrounded by the olive belt. For several kilometres you’ll be walking alongside the Roman hydraulic engineering work that channelled the water form the spring of Fonte Canale towards the town of Spello.
Once you come to Collepino, continue along the main road and then leave it and follow path no. 352 to ascend along the ditch towards San Silvestro al Subasio (not open for visits).
Continue along path no. 352A to the pine forest of Sportella – Camping Subasio, when the descent begins to the crossroads with path no. 350.
Continue south and return to Spello with one of the most beautiful views of the little town and over the Umbra Valley.
