Church of San Vitale
On the slopes of Mount Subasio facing south stood the hermitage of San Vitale, now a parish church of Viole (Violets), a hamlet of Assisi. Immediately behind the church is the Spring of San Vitale, already reconstructed in 1756 and recently restored in 2001
Church of the Madonna della Spella
Built in the XI century on a hill (958 m. above sea level) on the slope of Subasio which goes down to Collepino and from there to Spello. The name comes from specula, i.e. “panorama” for the wide views across to the Sibillini Mountains.
• Church of the Madonna di Colpernieri
It is a small building, located on a hill halfway between Collepino and San Giovanni. Behind the main altar there is a painting depicting the Madonna of Providence.
Church of the Madonna dei tre Fossi
It is located along the valley of the River Tescio and is an elegant and simple building in stone with a bell tower.
