The Lyrick Theatre in Assisi was opened on the 28th of May 2011. Initially the architectural firm Nervi-Morandi designed it as a chemical laboratory of Montedison in the fifties, but in 1998 the American magnate Richard Leach wanted to make a Broadway-style Theatre out of it. Nowadays it belongs to the Municipality of Assisi, which has entrusted it to the Cultural Association ZonaFranca. For more than one decade this stage has housed the best national and international productions, attracting audiences from other regions as well.
